Taking part in scientific research

SEIN is always looking for people who wish to take part in scientific research. The studies at SEIN are very diverse, ranging from filling in questionnaires to taking a brain scan. People with and without epilepsy or sleep disturbances can enrol. Your participation is always voluntary. Before you take part in a trial, you must give your consent, so we will ask you to sign a form.

Are you interested in helping?

If you are interested in taking part in one of our studies, you can contact us. Based on your data, we assess whether it’s possible for you to participate. We will get in touch with you if you are eligible. You will then receive detailed information about the trial. Only then do you decide whether or not you wish to take part. If you have signed the form but still have doubts, you can always withdraw your consent.

Enrolling in research

We treat your data with great care at SEIN, because your privacy is very important to us. SEIN abides by the rules of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Dutch Medical Treatment Agreements Act (WGBO). You can read more about your privacy and how we safeguard it at SEIN here.

In brief

You can take part in our scientific research into epilepsy and sleep-wake disturbances. We will then be working together to increase knowledge on epilepsy and sleep-wake disturbances. This will enable us to further improve the help we offer to you and to other patients.
