Information for referrers

Do you have a patient with epilepsy or sleeping problems?

If so, you’ve come to the right place!

SEIN is a centre of expertise for epilepsy and sleep medicine. We specialise in diagnosis, treatment, guidance and scientific research. Your patient can come to us for treatment in an inpatient or outpatient setting or as a resident at one of our sites. We operate on a multidisciplinary basis. Alongside the medical treatment, attention is also paid to psychological and social support.

Complex care

Patients with complex epileptic seizures or a complex sleep disorder can also come to us. A letter of referral is needed from a neurologist, paediatrician or specialist at a general or university hospital. In some cases the GP can make a direct referral to us.

What the patient needs

In order to be diagnosed and treated at one of our outpatient clinics, clinics or in the Sleep Centres, the patient needs a referral from a GP, neurologist or paediatrician. Anyone wishing to apply for sheltered accommodation or day care activities at SEIN requires a letter of referral from their municipality or the Dutch Care Assessment Agency (CIZ).
