Internship

There are several internship positions at SEIN Research. We supervise internships from a number of study areas, such as medicine, technical medicine, biomedical sciences, psychology, et cetera.

About the internship period

As an intern, you will become acquainted with the practice of a specialisation. You learn what it's like to care for people with a disability. We say that for a reason: as an intern you are a full member of our team. For example, you participate in clinical discussions. Because there is a lot of time for internship supervision, you actively participate in the research process. Most interns find it special to be able to participate in new developments.

Master internships

A master internship is ten or forty weeks. We always look for an internship that fits in with an ongoing project or one of the studies at SEIN. Most students are linked to a PhD candidate. During your internship you take on a sub-research of a project and you help with the collection and analysis of data. You are also a full member of the team. In fact, your work can contribute to a publication.

Group assignments

For Bachelor's degree programmes, a group of students can work on a question for a short period of time. You do not come to a solution immediately, but you make a plan with fellow students how the question can be solved. An example of such a question is how people can make good recordings of seizures with their telephones, so that a doctor can use these recordings for his research.

In brief

  • An internship lasts at least ten weeks
  • The internship is in line with one of our projects or studies
  • We are open to your own research ideas
