Treatment at the Health Centre

SEIN has a health centre which offers different services and has a large number of professionals who work closely together. The services have been on offer to residents at SEIN for many years, but are now also available to people not residing at SEIN. The professional team at the health centre offer care to people with epilepsy and other neurological conditions, a mental and/or physical disability, acquired brain injuries or a psychiatric disorder.

The following medical professionals work in the health centre:

  • Behavioural therapist
  • Physiotherapist
  • Speech therapist
  • Dietician
  • Social worker
  • Spiritual counsellor
  • Dentist
  • Occupational therapist
  • Psychomotor therapist

The various services at the health centre are aimed at diagnosis, treatment, support, training and education. The services on offer are broad and contain amongst others mental health-epilepsy consultations, advice for people with swallowing difficulties, support in communicating for example through pictograms, cognitive behavioural therapy, epilepsy education, fall protection, Ketogenic Diet and support with loss and grief.
