Respite care at SEIN

Respite care at SEIN, teenagers having a drink

Children and teenagers with epilepsy, a mental disability, physical disability and/or behavioural problems can stay in Guest House ‘De Zonnebloem’ (the sunflower) on the grounds of De Cruquiushoeve.

The short stay for children is relaxing and fun. For the parents the respite care is often necessary so they can have a break from providing (medical) care.

The Guest House offers various forms of respite care:

  • Accommodation in the weekends (for one or more nights and/or days)
  • Accommodation during the week (for one of more nights)
  • Day care
  • Emergency accommodation (as a result of medical problems, behavioural problems or family problems)
  • Accommodation during holidays

Children may come to stay more than once, for example every Saturday or Sunday. But a night’s stay every now and then is also possible. During their stay the children take part in many supervised fun activities such as arts and crafts, cycling, playing in the fenced garden and going to the petting zoo or the swimming pool.
